SS Rajamouli, the famous director behind movies like “RRR” and “Baahubali”, attended the success party for the Malayalam movie “Premalu” which was recently released in Telugu (his son helped bring the movie to Telugu audiences). He surprised everyone by saying how much he enjoyed the movie, even though romantic comedies aren’t usually his thing. He praised the Telugu dialogues and congratulated the entire “Premalu” team.
Rajamouli then made a big statement. He said that the Malayalam film industry seems to have better actors than Tollywood (the Telugu film industry). He admitted this with a mix of jealousy and admiration. He particularly liked the performances of actors Mamitha Baiju, Naslen, Akhila Bhargavan, and Shyam. He even said Mamitha Baiju has the potential to be a huge star across South India, comparing her to other famous actresses.
Rajamouli also talked about how impressed he was with the movie’s focus on characters and their development. He said he spends a lot of time creating big action scenes to entertain audiences, but “Premalu” achieved the same with just good dialogue and acting. This isn’t the first time Rajamouli has praised the detail-oriented work he sees in Malayalam movies. He spoke highly of their background artists and dedication to their craft during promotions for his movie “RRR”. It seems like Rajamouli is a big fan of what the Malayalam film industry is doing!
