Fan favorite Lucky Spencer is back! Actor Jonathan Jackson is officially reprising his role on the long-running soap opera ‘General Hospital.’
The 42-year-old actor took to Instagram on June 25th to share the exciting news with fans. He expressed his enthusiasm about returning to Port Charles and reuniting with his former co-stars, including Genie Francis. Jackson also thanked his fans and the show’s producers for making his comeback possible.
Jackson first brought Lucky Spencer to life in 1993 and continued to play the character until 2011. He left the show to pursue other opportunities, including a six-year stint as Avery Barkley on ‘Nashville.’ His portrayal of Lucky earned him five Daytime Emmy Awards.
Earlier in June, ‘General Hospital’ executive producer Frank Valentini teased the return of a male cast member, sending fans into a frenzy. While some speculated it might be Bryan Craig reprising his role as Morgan Corinthos (who previously died on the show), Jackson’s return confirms he was the true focus of the excitement.
Jackson’s return as Lucky Spencer is sure to be a major event for ‘General Hospital’ viewers. The news comes just after his appearance in the 2024 film “Unsung Hero.” Don’t miss Lucky’s return on ‘General Hospital,’ airing weekdays on ABC.
